Our Future?
The Wealth Gap is growing greater - that it is almost impossible for the ultra-rich and the ultra-poor to live in equal terms. This would result in greater stress to the mind - especially the society has been taught that success is measured based on "how much you made" when we see happiness does not correlate positively with wealth. Many are becoming Lovers of Money as they perceived that "Money" can create them a kind of status - where it is this status that can feed their desire.
I have already noticed of uprising generations whom are:

I have already noticed of uprising generations whom are:
- Self-centred - being considerate is becoming a skill to train onto them and no longer a value embedded since young. This is so noticeable when I observe the way they "speak or reply message".
- Risk-averse - a generation that does not have much living skills and does not have much entrepreneurial skills. Living in an artificial world that does not know what reality actually is and when they discovered the ruthless world - expect a system meltdown.
- Ability to trust - with the massive volume of information, and nearly as much are not reliable, not verified, not truthful - the younger generations are now becoming more skeptical of what they see on the internet but we are nurturing a society where trust is becoming an expensive commodity. And eventually - you trade trust with money.
- Lovers of self, Proud - Notice how the apps teach you not to love originality but to love the image on the phone? Many begin to hate their actual self but to love a virtual self. Many are finding it hard to express themselves in person but behave completely a different person behind the curtain - e.g. a character in the game, another identity in the forum. The games nowadays are designed to be "never-ending" - there is no storyline in the game. there is only chasing after a ranking where one aims to beat another and you will just indulge yourself deeper into just another world.
- Lack of Self-Control & Abusive - with the invasion of smartphones, it is harder for the younger generations to "concentrate". With the new parents preparing their kids with "activities, excitement, enjoyment" - the new generations become "bored" easily mundane things of life. And now we kept hearing of worrying trend like "Blue-Whale Challenge" and now the "Momo Challenge".
- Lack of patience - Many have been polluted with the idea of "little effort and big gain". Many expect, what I do today, I must see the result tomorrow. In fact, a lot are already behaving in a domineering attitude, believing that everything can be within one's own control. Maybe parents have not learned how to say No to their kids. And these kids grow up expecting every demand, every question, every idea they propose - must be returned with a resounding YES. Well - NO.
It is no longer the grade in the exam that can make you outstanding. In fact - having extremely good grades can be a red flag, as you never know when this person will eventually break down once failure comes knocking at his/her door.
What needs to be taught to them are the ability to listen, ability to speak, the ability to think of others. This changes our education landscape - and being in education line - it is a very very challenging task. We can only do so much in teaching the technicals in the classrooms, but values are taught outside the classroom. To teach how to love, we must first love.
